In Person Learning Update for Preschool and SPED families
    Posted on 03/10/2021

    Hello Rainier View Community!

Here is an announcement from Seattle Public Schools to SPED and Preschool families about in-person learning:

Dear Special Education Intensive Service Pathway and Preschool Families:

We’ve heard from many families who are eager for a return to in-person learning. We are reaching out now with a revised return to in-person learning date, March 29, for students being served in Special Education Intensive Service Pathways and all preschool students.

It is in the best interest of our students, staff, and families that SEA and SPS are unified in our approach to a return to in-person learning. Together, we commit to bargaining an agreement so these students can begin in-person learning services on March 29. Staff that support these students will return to buildings as early as March 22 to receive health and safety training, set up classrooms, and prepare for students.

We apologize for any hardship this may cause you or your child. We know you may have been planning for a return to in-person learning this week. Additional information will be shared directly with families later today.
