Parent members needed on District Instructional Material Committee
    Posted on 11/29/2017

Are you interested in having a voice in the textbooks that the Seattle Schools adopts?

If so, you can serve on the Instructional Materials Committee (IMC). Serving on this committee gives parents the opportunity to be involved in the textbook adoption process without having to commit to the greater time demands of the actual adoption committee. The IMC’s work is limited to oversight of process so committee members work closely with the adoption committees but members are not responsible for actual selection of adopted materials. Typically, the IMC meets 4 times a year, for up to two hours at a time, but it can change, depending on the number of textbook adoptions planned.

If you are interested, please contact  Eric Caldwell for an application.  Thank you.
